FAIR Salvador Rum
FAIR.’s limited edition rum is distilled by Licorera Cihuatan, the only distillery in Salvador that was created in 1999. The sugarcane that makes the rum is Fairtrade certified, sourced directly from a co-op of 209 independent farmers, including 27 women and 182 men (Asociación Cooperativa de Producción Agropecuaria El Sunza R.L.) in El Salvador.
The blend of rums are then aged from 3 to 6 years in American oak barrel previously used for bourbon before being bottled in the Cognac region of France.
Style - Full and delicate
Nose - Notes of chocolate, coffee and grilled bananas
Palate - It is neither too sweet, nor harsh. It has hints of vanilla, chocolate and pear
Finish- A long lasting and extremely smooth finish
- Place a brown sugar cube into glass. Wet it down with 2 or 3 dashes of Angostura bitters and a short splash of water or club soda.
- Crush the sugar cube, add 1 ice cube and stir until the ice and sugar have dissolved.
- Add a large ice cube. Pour in 60 ml of FAIR Rum and stir. Garnish with lemon and orange twists.
